WEKO is specialized in the non-contact minimal application
With the systems used in the production process, significant savings in fresh water, chemicals and energy can be achieved
Founded in 1953, WEKO is specialized in the non-contact minimal application of fluids and powders on a wide variety of materials. With the systems used in the production process, significant savings in fresh water, chemicals and energy can be achieved, which means a clear cost / benefit advantage for the user, but above all for our environment. Comprehensive services such as tests in the WEKO-Technology Center and high WEKO service standards are a matter for them.
In addition to the headquarter in Germany, WEKO has two production sites in Germany and Brazil, its own sales and service branches in Italy, UK, the USA, and Brazil. The company also works with agencies around the world who market the products and offer the proven WEKO service standard.
WEKO has developed a precision system based on a proven technology: the non-contact minimal application of fluids that offers numerous benefits for the tissue industry, such as:
ACCURACY AND REPRODUCIBILITY
Spray discs, called rotors, apply the liquid by non-contact spraying to the substrate. The rotors rotate at high speed, generating an even and precise flow of microdrops to give the substrate its individual properties.
“The application volume can be controlled quickly and easily with extreme precision. Because sometimes less is more – it’s the effect that counts,” emphasizes Carolin Russ, WEKO Product Manager. The high precision of the non-contact liquid application guarantees uniform quantity and therefore always reproducible results.
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION
The amount of application set, across the entire range, is environmentally friendly because it saves resources. Furthermore, the application system is ideal for water-based chemicals; fluids that do not harm the environment are, therefore, the most processed. The application unit’s low energy consumption contributes an additional advantage to the ecological balance.
Currently, WEKO has approximately 120 equipment installed in tissue lines in factories around the world, bringing reliability and knowledge to processes in this segment to customers.
