Georgia-Pacific appoints David Duncan as President and Chief Executive Officer
The executive, with over 28 years of experience within Koch companies, takes leadership of the organization as Vivek Joshi steps into an expanded role in the consumer products business
Georgia-Pacific announced the appointment of David Duncan as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Duncan previously served as Executive Vice President of the company’s consumer products group and succeeds Mark Luetters, Executive Vice President of Koch, Inc., who had been serving as interim CEO since 2025.
Duncan brings more than 28 years of experience within Koch companies. He joined Georgia-Pacific in 2018 as Executive Vice President of the building products business and later assumed leadership of the consumer products division in 2019. Prior to that, he served as President of Performance Solutions at INVISTA and held several leadership roles, including Managing Director of Koch Ventures and Koch Equity Development, as well as Chief Financial Officer of Koch Minerals.
The company also announced that Vivek Joshi, currently President of the tissue, towel and napkin (TTN) business, will become Executive Vice President of the consumer products business. Joshi joined Georgia-Pacific in 2002 as a marketing manager in the Dixie® Foodservice business.
Throughout his career at the company, Joshi has held various leadership roles across innovation, business development, marketing effectiveness and general management. He has also contributed to key investments and the growth of well-known consumer brands such as Angel Soft®, Brawny®, Dixie®, Sparkle®, Quilted Northern® and Vanity Fair®.
In his first remarks as CEO, Duncan highlighted the company’s strong team and recognized Joshi’s leadership, emphasizing his contributions and expressing confidence in his expanded responsibilities.
