Kimberly-Clark’s facilities switched from coal to natural gas

Reducing the carbon footprint has been part of Kimberly-Clark’s sustainability journey for 25 years

Kimberly-Clark’s Enstra manufacturing facility in South Africa and Chester facility in Pennsylvania recently switched from coal to natural gas. Switching to cleaner energy at these facilities allows us to reduce our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 167,000 MTCO2e a year.

That is the equivalent to the GHG emissions from 36,079 cars driven for one year! By using alternative energy, it brings us closer to our goal of reducing our carbon footprint by 50% by 2030.
