ACI Industries Converting has appointed Jose Avilan as Vice President of Manufacturing, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to develop its manufacturing capabilities and expand its position in the U.S. tissue converting market.
Avilan brings extensive experience in the tissue and paper converting industry, with a strong background in manufacturing operations, equipment, production, maintenance, process improvement, quality and business development.
In his new role, Avilan is responsible for leading ACI’s manufacturing organization, with a focus on operational performance, equipment reliability, production efficiency, quality, safety and process standardization.
His mandate also includes strengthening ACI’s manufacturing infrastructure and developing the people, processes and systems required to support sustainable growth.

At ACI, his responsibilities encompass manufacturing operations across the company’s converting activities, including rewinding, log saw, packaging and Away-From-Home tissue products.

Workforce development is also a priority, with an emphasis on building the technical capabilities of operators, mechanics, electricians and maintenance personnel while establishing clear standards for manufacturing performance.
