Cascades Tissue Group updates machine
The update was made to decrease the machine's energy consumption and increase its durability
The Cascades Tissue Group recently completed the replacement and start-up of the Yankee PM5 hood at its tissue mill in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
The hood is designed to offer low energy consumption and increased durability. With this update, the production of PM5, a medium-speed tissue machine for dry-crepe tissue with a 12-foot Yankee, significantly increased, reducing specific gas consumption by the hood.
Due to the reduced energy consumption, FOCUS ON ENERGY, a renewable energy and energy efficiency program in Wisconsin, awarded the 2020 Energy Efficiency Excellence Award to the Cascades Tissue Group Wisconsin.
This program covers 107 utilities across the state and offers financial incentives to residents and businesses to reduce energy consumption or increase energy efficiency. The Energy Efficiency Excellence Awards honor participants who have demonstrated a commitment to leading in energy efficiency.
