Global nonwovens industry highlights growth through 2028
Report by EDANA and INDA highlights production and demand growth driven by innovation and sustainability
EDANA and INDA, leading associations in the nonwovens industry, have released the Global Nonwoven Markets Report, A Comprehensive Survey and Outlook, 2023-2028. Now available for purchase on their respective websites, the report provides an in-depth analysis of global supply, demand, and regional trade trends in the sector.
The study forecasts steady growth over the next five years, emphasizing technological advancements, the expansion of end-use applications, and the role of emerging regions in the nonwovens market.
Between 2013 and 2023, global nonwovens production grew at an average annual rate of 5.4%, with significant contributions from the spunlaid and needlepunch processes. China led regional growth, adding 4.5 million tonnes during this period at an impressive annual rate of 9.4%. Meanwhile, segments such as wipes, medical applications, and transportation saw the most rapid expansions in end-use applications.
