Paper2021 Convention canceled

"AF&PA and NPTA appreciate your continued partnership, and we look forward to the opportunity to gather together again in the future." - AF&PA's president and CEO and NPTA's executive vice president declares

AF&PA’s president and CEO, Heidi Brock and NPTA’s executive vice president, Matt Bruno, issued the following statement about Paper2021, an annual paper industry convention jointly hosted by AF&PA and NPTA:

“After careful evaluation, the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) and the National Paper Trade Association (NPTA) are announcing that Paper2021 — scheduled for March 14-16 in Atlanta, Georgia — is cancelled.

“We take the health and safety of our industry, attendees and staff very seriously. The CDC Guiding Principles for events and gatherings clearly state that large in-person gatherings where social distancing is difficult and where attendees travel from outside the local area represent the highest risk category for spreading COVID-19. These associated health risks, combined with continued government, corporate travel and meeting policy restrictions, have prompted us to cancel the event for 2021.

“AF&PA and NPTA appreciate your continued partnership, and we look forward to the opportunity to gather together again in the future.”
