Resolute recognized for sustainable business practices
The CN EcoConnexions Partner Program celebrates organizations that demonstrate sustainable business practices and contribute to a sustainable future. Resolute is one of them now.
As a long-time customer of the Canadian National Railway Company (CN), Resolute is pleased to be recognized as a CN EcoConnexions Partner for successfully reducing the environmental footprint.
The CN EcoConnexions Partner program celebrates organizations that demonstrate sustainable business practices and contribute to a sustainable future through reduced emissions and resource conservation.
Resolute was one of 55 companies in North America honored for its efforts.
The program aligns with Resolute’s sustainability commitments to contribute to the prosperity of the operating communities and accelerate the global transition to a cleaner, circular economy. Resolute’s actions include:
- Targeting a 30% reduction in their scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2025 against 2015 levels.
- Maintaining 100% certification of their managed woodlands to internationally recognized forest management standards.
- Setting a company-wide goal to record fiber losses of no more than 40 kg per metric ton of annual production.
CN plans to honor Resolute and its other EcoConnexions partners by collaborating with Tree Canada to plant 100,000 trees this year in Canada and the United States.
