Tissue Link Americas #8 | Tissue Online North America
In this edition, Brian Uzcategui, Felipe Quintino and Hector Hurtado had their first face-to-face meeting after the lifting of the travel ban to the United States
Another Tissue Link Americas is on the air, a program that aims to connect the entire tissue market in the Americas, with the participation of Brian Uzcategui, Felipe Quintino, founder of Tissue Online Brasil and Hector Hurtado, co-founder of Tissue Online Latinoamérica.
In this edition, they had the first in-person meeting due to the lifting of the travel ban to the United States and Brian had the opportunity to introduce Felipe to the North American market. As Felipe does not speak English, he gave the floor to Héctor and Brian.
Among the topics discussed, they commented on the return of trade shows and compared the use of digital tools and face-to-face events for people to connect.
They also talked about the shutdown of tissue converting lines due to market volatility in the United States, at the same time the market is strong and customers are willing to replace and purchase new machinery due to other factors.
In Latin America, the tissue industry is volatile as well. While some companies are allocating machinery to reduce costs, others are investing and making major acquisitions, such as Essity purchasing Productos Familia, and Softys acquiring Carta Fabril, in Brazil.
