Essity awarded EcoVadis Platinum Medal for outstanding sustainability performance
The company ranks once again among the top 1% of organizations globally, excelling in environmental management, ethics and responsible procurement
Essity, the global hygiene and health company, has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal for 2025, reaffirming its position as a sustainability leader worldwide. With an overall score of 88 out of 100 —higher than in previous years— Essity now stands within the top 1% of more than 150,000 companies evaluated across 185 countries and 250 industries.
EcoVadis assesses corporate sustainability performance across four key pillars: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. In the 2025 evaluation, Essity achieved “Outstanding” or “Advanced” levels in all categories, showing strong results in environmental management, ethical business conduct and transparent reporting. The EcoVadis methodology recognizes both robust policies and measurable actions, including progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

EcoVadis is a trusted, independent provider of sustainability ratings for global value chains. Assessments follow international standards and are conducted by expert analysts. Companies receive a score from 0 to 100, a medal category based on their percentile ranking, and a detailed scorecard highlighting strengths and improvement areas. Essity regularly shares these results with customers and partners worldwide.
