WEPA Ventures is the new WEPA Group corporate venturing arm
WEPA Ventures invests into promising start-ups and builds its own
Beginning of this year, the WEPA Group has founded WEPA Ventures as its corporate venturing arm. In accordance with the Group’s Perform & Transform – WEPA 2023 strategy, WEPA Ventures will invest into promising early stage start-ups and build start-ups.
WEPA Ventures hereby seeks for financial attractive investments while also considering the strategic relevance for the Group. As Andreas Krengel, Co-Managing Director of WEPA Ventures puts it: ‘We invest into and build own start-ups which contribute to our core competencies of the Group: sustainable hygiene products and solutions as well as alternative raw materials and alternative packaging. Being a part of WEPA Group, with our WEPA Ventures portfolio we follow our Group’s mission ‘to always provide sustainable hygiene solutions to improve well-being everyday, everywhere.’
Tobias Hundhausen, Co-Managing Director adds: ‘The start-up environment is an open ecosystem, and so is WEPA Ventures. The collaboration and co-creation between start-ups and WEPA Group’s departments is very important for us and has been proven quite successful so far for all partners. Thank you once more to all colleagues involved.’
WEPA Ventures hereby offers a great ecosystem for start-ups as well as supporting the Group’s transformation process and innovation approach. Over the next weeks, the current portfolio of WEPA Ventures will be introduced.
