In 2025 Archroma was awarded a ‘Gold’ rating by EcoVadis, one of the largest and most trusted providers of business sustainability ratings, placing us in the top 5% of the best rated companies in our industry.
Chemistry’s role in packaging production is often underestimated. It may make up a small percentage of the total package, but it can provide more than
90% of the functionality. Helping turn wood into pulp. Whitening the pulp. Improving fiber retention. Enhancing brightness, opacity and printability. Creating barriers to resist grease, moisture and oil. At the recycling stage, removing ink and adhesives, breaking down hard-to-recycle materials, and supporting wastewater treatment in paper mills.
As consumers and regulators are demanding greater sustainability, chemistry becomes more important. When consumers turn away from plastic, more is required of current fiber-based materials, and the new sustainable biobased materials coming down the line.
At Archroma Packaging Technologies, we’re developing new chemistries that are more sustainable, safer and at least equal in performance to what they’re replacing. Our holistic, integrated approach to innovation minimizes risks and maximizes the potential for sustainable outcomes and harmonizes the entire system to deliver true circularity, ‘connecting the dots’ between each stage of the circular packaging economy.
