INCAPE signs partnership with Falconi for strategic ESG consultancy
The project aims to define commitments and initiatives aligned with the UN 2030 Agenda
The world’s leading organizations are those that are concerned with producing value and a positive 360-degree impact, for customers, employees, suppliers, society, the environment and shareholders. These organizations value and evolve based on their contribution to the UN’s 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), created in 2015 with the mission of implementing actions with the participation of governments, companies, civil society organizations, among other actors.
The actions listed by the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs include guiding humanity in its commitments to eradicate hunger and poverty and its actions on climate change, water stress, renewable energy, anti-corruption, circularity, security, gender equality, diversity and inclusion, among others. And so INCAPE, which already applies sustainability actions in its journey, wants to expand its contribution to this agenda in a genuine way, promoting sustainable impact.
With growing investments in recent years in innovation, quality and efficiency, INCAPE has established itself as a specialist in the production of maculatura paperboard for the tissue segment and is now looking to strengthen its development and expansion strategy, increasingly with sustainability as its main pillar. The company has entered into a partnership with Falconi, a leading management consultancy firm in Brazil.
According to Thiago Karam, INCAPE’s Director of Operations, “the partnership with Falconi came about as a result of the search for the best in consulting in Brazil and the world, in terms of sustainability, management, governance and social front, understanding that in order to take the next step that can really impact the world we live in and improve INCAPE as a company, it is necessary to have a structured discussion of commitments, goals and initiatives aimed at increasing the company’s impact on all stakeholders”.
The project starts with a diagnosis of the maturity of the ESG actions currently applied in the company. Based on this result, commitments to the SDGs, targets and initiatives will be defined to increase INCAPE’s impact on sustainability issues that benefit everyone.
The work with Falconi is being led by partner and director, Izabela Murici, and project leader, Maria Gontijo, to design a journey of evolution in sustainability built by the board of directors, managers and various employees, as well as involving active listening to clients, suppliers, civil society leaders and public agents.
It is essential to sensitize the entire team in order to design the company’s ESG journey. According to Thiago Mascarenhas, INCAPE’s Advisory Board member, “an important factor in the project will be to design a sustainability strategy that communicates and complements the organization’s strategy. INCAPE understands and preaches that sustainability is a strong and relevant pillar for it to continue its process of growth, differentiation in the markets, constant improvement in operational efficiency, increased customer and employee satisfaction, professionalization and maturity.”
In this way, this project is being treated as a highly strategic investment by everyone at INCAPE, very aware that the company has a relevant role to play in contributing to the 2030 Agenda, strengthening its purpose where circularity is a lever for sustainable development without leaving anyone behind.
