GP PRO launches Dixie Ultra® Take-Two dispenser to improve efficiency and reduce waste in restaurants

The new solution delivers two napkins at a time, enhancing operational efficiency, order presentation, and sustainability in the foodservice segment

GP PRO, a division of Georgia-Pacific specialized in dispensing and smart monitoring solutions, announced the launch of the Dixie Ultra® Take-Two interfold napkin dispenser, an innovation designed to optimize drive-thru, takeout, and back-of-house operations in quick-service restaurants.

The patented “grab-and-go” technology delivers exactly two napkins per pull, helping reduce waste while improving order presentation without compromising service speed.

According to the company, the development addresses real operational challenges in the sector, where fast-paced napkin handling often leads to overconsumption. The new system aims to standardize dispensing and enhance the overall customer experience.

The dispenser also aligns with GP PRO’s sustainability strategy. Based on internal research, restaurants that switched from traditional napkin stacks to the Take-Two system reduced total napkin usage by 19%. In addition, more than two-thirds of operators reported improved service efficiency, while 75% noted better napkin presentation in prepared orders.

From an operational standpoint, the compact design allows installation in limited spaces, while its stackable format helps optimize high-demand areas. Controlled dispensing also reduces restocking frequency, easing staff workload.

The system uses Dixie Ultra® interfold napkins, a premium two-ply product made from 100% recycled fiber and certified under environmental standards such as USDA BioPreferred® and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, reinforcing the solution’s sustainability focus.

Early adoption has already shown results. Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers reported a 10% reduction in napkin consumption in 2025 equivalent to saving 20 million napkins—while continuing its rapid expansion.

As the foodservice sector grows, the company positions this solution as a key tool to improve operational efficiency, control costs, and advance sustainability goals.
