Kimberly-Clark Australia inaugurates new distribution center in Ravenhall

Kimberly-Clark Australia has officially opened its new distribution center in Ravenhall, Victoria, strengthening the manufacturing company’s supply chain and operational efficiency.

The new facility, which covers more than 23,000 square meters, is located on Dexus’ Horizon 3021 industrial estate and is now the largest in KCA’s Australian network. It will enable the company to increase annual outbound deliveries of well-known brands such as Kleenex, U by Kotex, Huggies, Poise, Depend and VIVA by more than 30%.

The strategic location of the new distribution center is expected to optimize transportation routes, thereby reducing the number of trucks on the road annually by 700 and reducing its carbon emissions by more than 880 tons. In addition, the distribution center will be powered by solar energy and will be equipped with a fleet of electric forklifts and charging stations for electric cars, further contributing to the reduction of the carbon footprint.

Kimberly-Clark Australia, operating since 1926, is a leading global manufacturer of essential hygiene products that employs approximately 700 people in Australia and New Zealand. Most of its Australian workforce is employed at its paper manufacturing facility in Millicent, South Australia, where Kleenex and Scott paper towel products are produced.
