Kimberly-Clark Corporation is between the TOP 20 Most Admired Shared Services Organizations
The study was carried out by SSON Analytics, the Global Analysis Center for this sector
For the second consecutive year, Kimberly-Clark Corporation was recognized in the TOP 20 of Global Service Centers according to the SSONs Benchmarking Study 2020.
SSON Analytics, the global data analytics centre of the Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON), has released its latest benchmarking study with the world’s Top 20 Most Admired Shared Services Organizations (SSOs).
The COVID-19 pandemic that hit the world has made 2020 a very challenging year for many companies, who have had to transform their normal operations to manage remote teams and self-isolation. However, 2019 showed how resilient and critical the Shared Services and GBS industry is during difficult and uncertain times, and how they can become an engine of future growth.
In its 4th year, the Most Admired global SSOs are identified using a methodology that collates SSON’s cross-channel proprietary data from its global community of 160,000 members and applies a weighting system to the various criteria under consideration.
This year, the benchmarking study captures 30 metrics across eight common areas such as Automation, Attrition, HR & Talent, Payroll, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report and Travel & Expense. The study also shares insights on automation strategies, Future of Work plans and main targets and challenges faced by these leading SSOs.
“Despite the challenging business climate, the Shared Services and GBS industry has shown great resilience in adapting and overcoming this trying period and thus we believed it was more important than ever to continue with the benchmarking study this year. For the first time, the majority of the organizations were working remotely while contributing to this extensive benchmarking study. The results of the study are impressive to say the least, with the median benchmarks either maintaining or improving for 80% of the metrics captured compared to 2019. Indeed, 95% of them are also employing Future of Work strategies and many are looking to accelerate the use of automation to bring their SSOs and GBS forward,” said Syazana Lim, SSON Analytics’ Lead Research Analyst.
