Kimberly-Clark plant in Texas celebrates 40 years

The company began its operations in Paris, Texas, in 1983 with the manufacture of diapers under the Huggies brand

Recently, the Kimberly-Clark facility in Paris, Texas, USA, celebrated an important milestone, its 40th anniversary.

The company began operations there on May 27, 1983, with the goal of supporting the North American infant care market by manufacturing Huggies diapers brand, the only diaper on the market at that time with tape on the waistband that could be refastened.

Currently, in addition to continuing to manufacture Huggies diapers, the facility also produces several category-leading baby and child care products for the North American consumer market, such as Huggies branded pull-ups, Little Swimmers, and Goodnites brand training pants.

Since its founding, the Paris manufacturing plant has been growing and caring for the local community. More than $2 million has been donated over the years to the local United Way organization, including donations of Kimberly-Clark products.

In addition, the facility also supports school and university programs in the region and has made a significant commitment to improving its environmental footprint by moving to 100% green power through its use of energy generated by a Texas solar grid.
