Sofidel receives Silver Stevie® Award 2026 for ESG performance and sustainability leadership

The company was recognized at the American Business Awards® for its long-standing commitment to reducing environmental impact and integrating ESG principles into its global operations

Sofidel, a global provider of tissue and hygiene paper products, has been awarded the Silver Stevie® Award 2026 in the category of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Achievements at the 24th edition of the American Business Awards®.

The recognition highlights the company’s sustained performance in sustainability and the integration of environmental, social, and governance criteria into its business model.

The company emphasized that the award reflects its long-term commitment to sustainability. According to Riccardo Balducci, Group Sustainability Director at Sofidel, the organization has spent more than six decades focused on reducing its environmental footprint through continuous innovation, emissions reduction, waste minimization, and the development of more sustainable manufacturing processes.

He added that sustainability is not treated as a standalone initiative, but as an integrated part of how the company operates and creates long-term value for customers, communities, and the environment.

This year’s American Business Awards® received more than 3,600 entries from organizations of all sizes and sectors worldwide. Categories included Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, New Product or Service of the Year, and Marketing Campaign of the Year, among others.

Sofidel was recognized in the ESG Achievements category within the manufacturing sector. More than 250 professionals worldwide participated in the evaluation process to select this year’s winners.

Maggie Miller, President of the Stevie Awards, highlighted the strong level of competition, noting that the submissions reflect a dynamic and innovative business environment focused on growth, value creation, and positive impact.

Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Italy, Sofidel operates in 13 countries and employs more than 9,500 people. The company has an annual production capacity of approximately 1,983,000 metric tons. Its best-known brand, Regina, is present in most key markets, alongside others such as Sopalin, Le Trèfle, Hakle, Softis, Nalys, Nicky, and Papernet.
