Metsä Tissue appoints new management team

Metsä Tissue announced the appointment of its new management team, which officially assumed its roles on January 1 of this year. The organizational restructuring aims to accelerate profitable growth and reinforce the company’s key strategic priorities.

The new management team is led by Sari Pajari-Sederholm, who has assumed the role of CEO. The executive team also includes Tobias Lüning as Senior Vice President, Commercial; Joonas Kukkonen as Senior Vice President, Supply Chain; Mikko Nieminen as Senior Vice President, Operations; Terhi Ilvonen as Chief Financial Officer (CFO); and Jukka Oinonen as Senior Vice President, Human Resources. In addition, Timo Riikonen will continue to lead Metsä’s greaseproof papers business.

According to Sari Pajari-Sederholm, the new leadership team brings together the experience and commitment needed to continue executing the company’s strategy. She noted that Metsä Tissue will continue to move forward based on key pillars such as the use of high-quality virgin fibers as its main raw material, the strengthening of local production, and the development of long-term customer relationships, with the goal of creating greater value for customers and other stakeholders.
