Paper manufacturer announces expansion
Headquartered on Long Island, Select Products Holdings hopes to create more than 70 jobs in Henderson, North Carolina, about 40 miles north of Raleigh.
A manufacturer of paper products for the bathroom and kitchen and holder of the Select, Spic and Span, Halo and other brands, the company said the project would help meet the increased demand for its products.
“We found the perfect storm of creative economic incentives, a ready potential workforce, and an excellent building in our target geographic region,” Select CEO Nick Galante said in the announcement from the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
He also said the company chose the site from more than 100 candidates in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia. It currently operates manufacturing facilities in Huntington, New York, and Vandling, Pennsylvania.
The new facility will be operated by a new subsidiary called Select Tissue of North Carolina LLC. The company is expected to receive a $ 350,000 state grant that will be matched by local governments.
