Resolute receives awards for promoting women in business
The company won two Globee® Awards at the 14th annual Women World Award® competition
Resolute won two Globee® Awards at the 14th annual Women World Awards® competition. Lori Kilgour, Senior Vice President of Process Improvement and CIO, received the gold award in the Excellence in Industry Woman of the Year – Manufacturing category – for her contributions to Resolute’s growth and success. For the company, the award is an honor that Lori deserves for her leadership in major IT projects that have increased the efficiency, productivity and sustainability of the business.
The company itself won a silver Globee in the Achievement in the Development and Promotion of Women category for introducing a board-level diversity policy that requires a minimum 25% representation of each gender.
According to Resolute, Lori is an inspirational leader who is making a difference by advocating for diverse and inclusive workplaces that reflect today’s society. She encourages women, as well as ethnic and visible minorities, to consider a career in IT and forest products, firmly believing that more diversity in decision making will lead to better decisions and better business performance over time.
