Tissue Summit Latinoamérica solidifies itself as the leading event in the tissue sector in Latin America

Under the theme “ESG: Innovating with Responsibility”, the event featured the participation of major industry players, a diverse program, and excellent networking opportunities

On September 13th and 14th, the Tissue Summit Latinoamérica 2023 took place at the Sheraton Bogota Hotel, Colombia, bringing together key players from the tissue paper and personal care markets in Latin America. Conceived by Felipe Quintino, an expert in tissue paper, pulp, and CEO of Nexum Group, the event saw the presence of significant brands and industry executives. With approximately 200 attendees, the Tissue Summit provided opportunities to establish connections, conduct successful business, networking and share experiences.

In its second edition, the program became even more diverse, featuring two days of panel discussions in a new format. Following the presentations, organized into blocks, speakers gathered to debate ideas and perspectives on the topics covered in each block. These panels, moderated by Felipe Quintino, were followed by questions from the live conference audience, adding substantial knowledge and learning for all attendees.

The special panel was centered around “ESG in the tissue market: Latin American industry adherence” and featured influential decision-makers in the tissue sector: Kenneth Hylton, Cluster Leader for the Caribbean and Marketing Director for the Family Care category in Latin America at Kimberly-Clark, and Cristian Rubio Adriasola, CEO of FPC Tissue.

In addition to the presentations and tabletops exhibitions on the theme “ESG: Innovating with Responsibility”, the program also included other expert presentations, such as Andrés Felipe Patiño Forero, Sustainability Manager at Grupo Familia; Jorge Araya Parra, an executive from Euromonitor International; and María Belén Rodríguez, Sustainability Manager at Softys.

Under the theme “ESG: Innovating with Responsibility”, a notable highlight was the launch of the Tissue Summit Magazine Latinoamérica, a publication created specifically for the event. The magazine was designed with the goal of adding extra value by sharing unique information in a limited print run publication with a highly qualified audience.

In this exclusive magazine, readers obtained details about the conference agenda and learned about the latest developments in the tissue market. In a special article, Kenneth Hylton shared information about the ESG agenda within the consumer goods giant Kimberly-Clark.

Another significant aspect was a tribute as a form of recognition to major players and collaborating companies for their support and hard work benefiting the tissue and personal care sector in Latin America, despite a challenging market environment.

Once again, the event exceeded the expectations of the organizers and demonstrated its fundamental importance to the entire industry. Felipe Quintino stated: “Tissue Summit Latinoamérica has solidified itself as the primary tissue event in Latin America. Despite being held in Colombia due to its strategic location, it encompasses countries throughout Latin America and Central America. In this edition, we saw growth in terms of sponsors and attendees, and in addition to its increased size, the event featured even richer and more engaging content about the tissue and personal care markets.”
