Resolute Supports Earthquake Relief Efforts in Turkey
The company and its employees donated a truckload of paper towels, facial tissue and bath tissue to support those impacted by the earthquake
Resolute Tissue announced that employees at its tissue mill in Hialeah (Florida – USA) have mobilized to donate a truckload of paper towels, facial tissue and bath tissue to support those impacted by the devastating string of earthquakes that hit Turkey in February.
The company also directed the in-kind donation through the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), a non-profit organization founded in 2011 as a first responder to global disasters that takes an innovative and proactive approach to emergency relief.
In early March, North American Transport Services, a local Resolute partner, provided free transportation from the Hialeah mill to a GEM facility.
“We applaud our outstanding team members for their prompt response in making this donation possible. Resolute stands in solidarity with affected communities as they overcome this crisis and work towards recovery and rebuilding,” commented the company on its corporate blog.
