The global platform Fastmarkets, a leader in analysis and information for various industries, including forestry, has recognized the work of Ruiz-Tagle, general manager of CMPC, for his contribution to the company’s development, especially in innovation and sustainability. Under his leadership, CMPC has managed to certify most of its forestry assets in sustainable management and has increased the use of renewable energy in its operations.
Ruiz-Tagle was selected among prominent executives in the forestry sector for this recognition. In addition, CMPC won in the “leadership in sustainability” category. The CEO stressed the importance of sustainability and innovation in the forestry industry and highlighted the company’s conservation initiatives and green bond issuance.

These achievements are in addition to other recognitions, such as the Bravo Sustainability CEO of the Year 2023 award and its inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) as the most sustainable company in the world in the Paper & Forest Products category. In addition, CMPC was recognized by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for its leadership in transparency and climate action in the forestry sector.
