Essity Announces New Global Business Area Structure Effective 2026
The company reorganizes its divisions to accelerate growth and strengthen financial performance
Essity announced that, effective January 1, 2026, it will implement a new global business structure composed of four business areas: Health & Medical, Personal Care, Consumer Tissue and Professional Hygiene.
This change reflects the organizational transformation designed to accelerate the company’s growth pace and achieve its financial targets more rapidly.
Essity will report according to the new structure starting with the Q1 2026 interim report, supported by proforma financial information for 2023, 2024 and 9M 2025. The new business areas will replace the previous divisions of Health & Medical, Consumer Goods and Professional Hygiene.
HEALTH & MEDICAL
This division includes incontinence products, health care solutions and medical products. The portfolio features the world-leading TENA brand, along with wound care, compression therapy and orthopedics under Leukoplast, Cutimed, JOBST, Actimove and Delta-Cast.
PERSONAL CARE
This area covers retail incontinence products, feminine care and baby care. It includes solutions under TENA, Libresse, Nosotras, Saba, Knix, as well as baby diapers and care products from Libero, Lotus and private-label brands.
CONSUMER TISSUE
Comprises toilet paper, hand towels, facial tissues, wet wipes and napkins. Products are marketed under brands such as Lotus, Tempo, Zewa, Cushelle, Plenty, Regio and Familia, as well as private-label retail brands.
PROFESSIONAL HYGIENE
Provides comprehensive hygiene solutions including toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, hand soap, lotions, sanitizers, dispensers, cleaning products, digital solutions and service offerings under the world-leading brand Tork.
PROFORMA FINANCIAL REPORTING
Essity has restated key financial indicators —net sales, organic sales growth, gross margin excl. IAC, EBITA excl. IAC, EBITA margin excl. IAC, capital employed, ROCE excl. IAC and operating cash flow— according to the new structure for 2023, 2024 and 9M 2025.
