The office products industry gathered on March 10 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, to celebrate the 25th edition of the European Office Products Awards (EOPA), recognizing innovation, business performance, and leadership across the sector.
Held at the Hotel Okura as part of OPI Partnership, the event highlighted the industry’s resilience in the face of economic uncertainty, evolving workplace trends, and changing customer expectations.
In this context, Essity Professional Hygiene emerged as one of the key highlights of the evening, receiving two major awards. The company won Business Product of the Year for its Tork Xpress compressed folded hand towels, recognized for their efficiency-driven redesign.
The product features a 50% compressed format, reducing package size, increasing dispenser capacity, and improving logistics efficiency. According to the jury, this innovation represents a significant breakthrough in a mature category.
Additionally, Essity Professional Hygiene was named Supplier of the Year, with judges praising its market leadership, innovation capabilities, and collaborative approach with distributors. The company’s consistent performance and ability to simplify complex challenges at scale were key factors in the decision.
The ceremony also featured speeches reflecting on the industry’s evolution over the past 25 years. Aidan McDonough, President of BLOC Group, highlighted the importance of adaptability, while Eric Bigeard, former CEO of Lyreco, emphasized resilience as a driver of long-term success.
