First Quality supports hurricane victims in southeastern U.S.
Company donates $100,000 and essential supplies to victims of Hurricanes Helene and Milton
First Quality has announced the donation of $100,000 to the United Way Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund. In addition to the monetary contribution, the company has donated more than 1,400 boxes of paper towels and toilet paper, as well as approximately 4,000 boxes of baby diapers, which will be distributed through emergency responders.
First Quality, which has manufacturing operations in Anderson, South Carolina, one of the areas affected by Hurricane Helene, highlighted the impact of the storms on its community. “Many of the 1,100 people we employ were affected by the storms,” said Jim Dodge, the company’s chief financial officer. Fortunately, all employees are safe, but Dodge noted that many lives have been disrupted due to the ravages of the hurricanes.
He also expressed his gratitude to the United Way, which has mobilized crucial resources and support for the victims. Dodge assured that First Quality will continue to provide assistance to both its employees and the affected communities.
The assistance provided by First Quality reflects its commitment to the communities where it operates, especially in times of crisis, reinforcing its role not only as an economic player, but also as an ally in the recovery from natural disasters.
