Georgia-Pacific Invests US$425 Million in New Facility in Jackson, Tennessee

The investment will increase production capacity for sustainable products, creating more than 220 jobs

Georgia-Pacific has opened a new Dixie® dinnerware manufacturing plant in Jackson, Tennessee, with an investment of approximately $425 million. This facility, the first Dixie facility built in more than three decades, will produce disposable products such as plates and bowls, significantly increasing offerings in the disposable packaging market.

In addition to its focus on production, Georgia-Pacific has reaffirmed its commitment to ESG principles, emphasizing sustainable practices in its operations. The company also announced plans to invest more than $20 million in its corrugated plant in Lebanon, Tennessee, underscoring its dedication to a more sustainable future.

With more than 600 employees in Tennessee, Georgia-Pacific is focused on meeting the growing demand for sustainable products and strengthening local communities through its investments and social responsibility programs.
