Huggies drives record diaper donation with NDBN in the United States
The initiative includes the delivery of 15 million diapers in 15 days and is part of a broader commitment of 75 million units over three years in the U.S.
Huggies®, a brand of Kimberly-Clark, announced the donation of 15 million Huggies diapers over a 15-day period to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN), a U.S.-based national nonprofit organization. The initiative marks the beginning of an expanded collaboration under which Huggies will donate a total of 75 million diapers to the network over the next three years.
The donation will involve NDBN member diaper banks operating across 33 states and the District of Columbia, representing the largest single-round diaper donation made by Huggies during its 15-year partnership with the network. With this contribution, Kimberly-Clark becomes the largest donor in NDBN’s history.
Since the partnership began in 2011, Huggies and NDBN have supported philanthropic, commercial, and governmental efforts to address diaper insecurity in the United States. Together, they have distributed more than 300 million donated diapers and wipes, assisting families struggling to afford diapers and other basic material needs.
Over its 15 years of operation, NDBN has expanded its network to include more than 300 nonprofit basic needs banks serving local communities across the United States and Puerto Rico. Through this extensive network, the organizations have worked to provide families with access to essential resources that support the health and well-being of babies and young children.
Approximately 2 million of the donated diapers will be intentionally allocated to smaller NDBN member banks that serve high-need communities but often face logistical and storage capacity challenges. This targeted distribution aims to strengthen the programs of community-based nonprofit organizations.
The expanded partnership underscores the shared commitment of Huggies and the Kimberly-Clark Foundation to support families and advance efforts to end diaper need across the country.
