In three years, Essity has invested nearly € 8 million in factory security
Company invests heavily in the safety of its employees
Owner of the brands Tena, Nuvenia, Tempo, Tork, Demak’Up, Libero, Leukoplast, Jobst and Actimove, Essity, a leading company in the sectors of hygiene and health, started the sixth edition of the world security week.
An initiative organized globally in all Essity factories around the world that aims to make employees aware of the importance of acting with total safety, preventing risky behaviors and increasing awareness of virtuous habits.
Safety is a key issue for Essity, which in the last three years alone has allocated € 7.7 million in security to the Tuscan factories in Altopascio, Porcari and Collodi – including € 5 million for the construction of the napkin center of excellence Altopascio already opened in 2019 – and that is giving excellent results.
“We are very pleased with the way in which the issue of security is becoming an integral part of our corporate culture every day,” says Ivan Ferrini, chief operating officer at Essity Italy. “We continue to invest heavily in this area and we have only recently launched the Amici della Sicurezza project, which aims to increase the spontaneous participation of individual employees by up to 60% in the next 3 years”.
More than 500 employees from the Tuscan factories attended this year’s edition, they participated in various training actions, such as laboratories, training and workshops dedicated to specific topics for the prevention of accidents.
