The Paper Excellence Group has announced the appointment of Richard Tremblay as president of its pulp and tissue business unit, effective immediately.
For the past year, Tremblay served as senior vice president of pulp, paper and tissue operations within the same business unit at Paper Excellence Group. Previously, he held key roles at Resolute Forest Products, including senior vice president of Pulp and Paper Operations, prior to the acquisition by Paper Excellence Group through its subsidiary Domtar Corporation.
The Pulp & Tissue business unit encompasses all Resolute’s legacy pulp, paper and tissue operations, as well as Paper Excellence Canada’s non-integrated pulp mills. Tremblay will report directly to Paper Excellence Group’s board of directors, headed by non-executive chairman John Williams.
Williams praised Tremblay’s appointment, noting his industry experience and leadership. He was optimistic about the company’s future under his leadership.
