Procter & Gamble forms partnership with Cincinnati Bengals to enhance community programs

The collaboration will focus on supporting local initiatives, including the Bengals Girls Flag Football program, while providing significant branding opportunities for P&G

Procter & Gamble Co. (P&G) has announced a partnership with the Cincinnati Bengals, linking one of the region’s largest companies with a prominent local sports team. Based in downtown Cincinnati, P&G will serve as the presenting sponsor for several community initiatives led by the Bengals.

As part of this collaboration, P&G will be the official partner of the Bengals Girls Flag Football program, which aims to increase access to this rapidly growing sport, particularly at the high school level. The partnership will also provide P&G with significant media exposure, content opportunities, and branding visibility throughout Paycor Stadium.

“This partnership pairs the Bengals with P&G and its storied brands”, stated Lacy Ekert, chief partnership officer of the Bengals. Notable P&G brands include Tide, Crest, Head & Shoulders, Charmin, Bounty, Gillette, and Pampers.

According to this year’s Fortune 500 ranking, P&G is the world’s largest consumer goods company and ranks as the 50th-largest company in the US. In fiscal 2024, which concluded in June, P&G reported sales of US$84 billion, placing it second among Greater Cincinnati-based companies in terms of sales, behind Kroger. However, it leads significantly in market value, with a valuation of US$400 billion based on its stock.

Janet Fletcher, P&G’s senior director of sports marketing, emphasized the company’s commitment to community support, stating: “This partnership with the Bengals will continue P&G’s commitment to help support the communities in which we live and work”.

Bengals director of Strategy and Engagement Elizabeth Blackburn highlighted the significance of the partnership for the team: “This partnership with Procter & Gamble is an exciting opportunity to further unite two forward-thinking organizations built on a legacy of innovation. P&G has a rich history of supporting sports here in Cincinnati and on the global stage, and we are proud to expand our partnership with one of the city’s leading companies”.
