Suzano announced a new increase in the price of eucalyptus pulp, starting in March, of between US$ 30 and US$ 80 per ton. The adjustments will be applied in Asia, Europe and North America.
In the Asian market, Brazil’s main export destination for the raw material, the increase will be US$ 30 per ton. Considering the liquid price (PIX) measured by Fastmarkets, the price of the raw material in China could reach US$ 685 per ton after the increase.
In Europe, on the other hand, the adjustment will be US$ 80. According to the same index, the reference price for next month is approximately US$ 1.3 thousand.
Finally, in North America, the increase of US$ 80 will also be applied, which will bring the price to US$ 1.49 thousand, under the same parameters.
This is the third adjustment announced by pulp producers, including Suzano, although in February it was not applied to the Chinese market.
