Essity Recognized on CDP Supplier Engagement A-List for the Seventh Consecutive Year

Company earns top score in global sustainability assessment and reinforces its supplier engagement strategy

Essity, a global leader in hygiene and health, has once again been recognized for its sustainability leadership after receiving an A score in the Carbon Disclosure Project’s (CDP) Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA). As a result, the company has been included in the organization’s Supplier Engagement A-List for the seventh consecutive year.

The recognition highlights Essity’s ongoing efforts to work closely with suppliers in addressing climate-related impacts throughout its value chain. Supplier engagement is a key pillar of the company’s sustainability strategy and is essential to achieving its net-zero carbon emissions target by 2050.

By setting clear expectations, collaborating on targets and supporting continuous improvement, Essity aims to reduce indirect Scope 3 emissionsgenerated by suppliers, business partners and product usewhile strengthening responsible sourcing practices.

“Supplier engagement is critical to driving meaningful climate action,” said Jessica Nordlinder, Essity’s Global Vice President of Sourcing. “By working closely with our suppliers, we can improve transparency, accelerate emissions reductions and ensure responsible sourcing across our value chain. This recognition from CDP confirms the importance of collaboration in achieving long-term sustainability goals that benefit our customers, consumers and society.”

CDP’s Supplier Engagement Assessment evaluates how effectively companies engage suppliers on climate-related actions, considering governance, targets, Scope 3 emissions and value chain management. Companies receiving an A score are recognized on the organization’s annual Supplier Engagement A-List.
