Cascades Inc. recognized among the world’s 100 most sustainable companies for the sixth consecutive year
Company also celebrates innovation awards and maintains gender equality certification
Cascades Inc., a leader in the recovery and manufacturing of environmentally responsible packaging and hygiene products, has once again been named among the 100 most sustainable companies in the world by Corporate Knights, ranking 59th in the global 2024 list. For the sixth consecutive year, the company retained the top position in the Containers and Packaging sector.
The recognition was announced during the World Economic Forum in Davos, highlighting organizations that balance environmental, social, and governance performance with business success. Corporate Knights’ analysis evaluated 8,359 global companies with revenues exceeding one billion dollars, using 25 performance indicators.
Key factors that boosted Cascades’ position include a high percentage of revenue from sustainable products – made with recycled or certified fibers – and investments in sustainability, such as capital expenditures and research and development. The company was also recognized for its social and governance practices, including employee benefits, gender equity policies, and the link between executive compensation and sustainability goals.
Another significant achievement was the maintenance of Cascades’ Silver Parity Certification from Women in Governance, reaffirming its commitment to gender equality in the workplace.
Additionally, the company’s egg packaging solution, Cascades Fresh GUARD EnVision™, received the GOOD DESIGN® Award 2024 and the Big Innovation Award 2025, highlighting its innovative design, sustainability, and positive impact on customers and communities.
