Essity Completes Review of Its Private Label Consumer Tissue Business in Europe
The business will continue to be part of the Essity Group
Essity has completed the strategic review of its own-brand consumer tissue business in Europe, which began on April 26 of this year. The business will remain part of the Essity Group.
“Essity continually evaluates its various businesses to enhance long-term value creation. In the strategic review of the Consumer Tissue Private Label Europe Division, it was concluded that the business, because of the divisionalization implemented, is a competitive and value-creating part of Essity.”
Net sales for the consumer private label tissue business in Europe exceeded SEK 9.8 billion in 2022. The business comprises seven production facilities in Belgium, France, Germany and Italy, with approximately 1,900 employees.
