GCP Paper breaks ground on US$400 million tissue manufacturing facility in Texas

New Caney site to become U.S. flagship and generate 250 jobs by 2026

GCP Paper USA, Inc. has officially begun construction on its US$400 million, 565,765-square-foot manufacturing facility in the East Montgomery County Industrial Park in New Caney, Texas.

During a groundbreaking ceremony, the company was joined by members of the East Montgomery County Improvement District, Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, and Powers Brown Architecture.

Set for completion in June 2026, the plant will serve as GCP Paper’s U.S. flagship location and is expected to create approximately 250 jobs. The company supplies private-label tissue products, such as toilet paper, paper towels, and napkins, to major retailers including Sam’s Club, Walmart, H-E-B, Costco, and Aldi.
