Georgia-Pacific donates to Sweetwater Fire Department to enhance first responder safety

Georgia-Pacific announced a US$3,500 donation to the Sweetwater Fire Department aimed at strengthening first responder safety through the acquisition of ballistic vests.
The contribution from the local gypsum manufacturer will be used to purchase specialized protective equipment designed to shield firefighters from firearm threats and shrapnel during high-risk emergency situations.
The Sweetwater Fire Department indicated that the funds will help improve operational safety conditions for its personnel, emphasizing the importance of having this type of equipment available, even if its use is expected to be limited.
Georgia-Pacific has maintained ongoing support for the Sweetwater Fire Department and other local public safety initiatives.
