Lucart strengthens its presence in France with a new logistics center
The new location will make it possible to improve storage and shipping capacities for Lucart products manufactured at the Laval-sur-Vologne plant
Lucart is reinforcing its presence in France. The Italian paper group announced the acquisition of a new logistics center in Saint-Diè-des-Vosges, in the Hellieule shopping area.
The logistics hub will be fully operational during the first quarter of 2024 and improve the storage and shipping capabilities of products manufactured by Lucart at the Laval-sur-Vologne plant. This acquisition marks the first step in the implementation of the investment plan in the Vosges foreseen by Lucart for the coming years.
THE NEW LOGISTICS CENTER
The new logistics hub in Saint-Diè-des-Vosges consists of a 22,000-square-metre building built on 10 hectares of land with a storage capacity of 20,000 pallet columns. The site was created to concentrate finished product stocks before they are shipped to customers in France, Germany, the Benelux and Northern Europe.
“The acquisition of this new site marks the turning point in our development project. The new operational headquarters will work in synergy with the plant in Laval-sur-Vologne, but adaptation work will be necessary before going into operation to meet the operational requirements useful for our activities”, declared Alessandro Pasquini, President of Lucart’s French subsidiary. “In fact, we want to ensure the highest quality standards in customer service,” he concluded.
