Suzano releases a video showing the progress of the Cerrado Project construction work in March

The images show the beginning of the formation of the chip pile and the almost full biomass silos, as well as the lifting of the filter buffer tank roof

Suzano recently shared a video showing the progress of the Cerrado Project, its new pulp mill in Ribas do Rio Pardo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, which is expected to be completed by June of this year.

According to the company, construction of the new pulp mill continues to progress on schedule, with significant progress recorded in March. In a new video, the company shows the progress of the construction work at its new mill.

In the video released by Suzano, the structures that make up the seedling nursery can be seen, such as the clonal garden and the completion of the seedling staking shed. One step further on in the plantation, it is possible to visualize the eucalyptus harvest already underway in the company’s farms, as well as the drying process in the field and the other steps for the logs to reach the chip preparation area.

In March, the formation of the chip pile began and the biomass silos are almost full. The lifting of the filter buffer tank roof was also completed, tests were performed on the DDW tanks and blowing on the low and medium pressure steam lines of the Fiber Line, and the production of synthetic liquor began.

In the logistics area, the construction of the off-road bridge, the railroad civil works at the Inocência intermodal terminal and the progress in the construction of the logistics warehouse at the same terminal were completed.

In addition, as part of the Basic Environmental Plan (PBA) works, Suzano delivered the new Civil Police Station to the State Government and the Worker’s Support House to the Ribas do Rio Pardo (MS) City Hall, in Brazil.
