Tork enhances operational efficiency in high-traffic hotel restrooms
Essity’s professional hygiene brand introduces the PeakServe solution to improve performance, digital management and sustainability in the hospitality sector
Tork, Essity’s professional hygiene brand and a global provider of hygiene solutions, develops systems designed to optimize operations in high-traffic environments such as hotel public restrooms. In a hospitality industry defined by intense daily activity — from early check-ins to late-night events — constant availability, operational efficiency and guest experience have become critical priorities.
Within this context, Tork positions PeakServe as a solution developed to meet the demands of high-traffic hotel restrooms. According to Isha Sagar, Key Account Manager for India and the Maldives at Essity Middle East FZCO, the system was designed to ensure consistent towel availability during peak hours. Compressed refill packs allow dispensers to hold significantly more towels than traditional folded systems, reducing refill frequency and easing pressure on housekeeping teams.
The company also highlighted PeakServe Automatic, a touch-free version that maintains high capacity while featuring a slim 10-centimeter-deep design. This enables hotels to deliver the performance of large-roll dispensers without compromising modern restroom aesthetics, supporting stable operations during periods of high demand.
For hand hygiene applications, Tork offers soap and sanitizer dispensers in both manual and sensor-activated versions, providing flexibility across different hotel areas. Controlled dosing, sealed cartridges and clear level indicators simplify maintenance and enhance cleaning efficiency.
Digital support is provided through tools such as Tork Vision Cleaning, which enables real-time monitoring of dispenser status, refill levels, usage trends and visitor flow. This data helps hotels optimize cleaning routes, reduce unnecessary inspections and improve operational efficiency, even without full integration into property management systems.
Addressing sustainability goals, Tork noted that it offers carbon-neutral dispensers supported by verified climate compensation projects in India and globally. By adopting the full Tork restroom system, including certified refills, hotels can reduce waste, limit inefficient product use and strengthen sustainability reporting.
Looking ahead, Essity anticipates growing demand for solutions that combine compact design, high performance and digital support. According to the company, these systems will allow hotels to manage increasing guest volumes with fewer operational demands, while maintaining service control and a consistent guest experience.
