First edition of Tissue Summit Latinoamérica is successfully concluded

With an enriching program, the event was attended by large companies and industry personalities

The first edition of Tissue Summit Latinoamérica took place on September 19 and 20, bringing together the main players in the tissue paper industry at the Sheraton Bogota Hotel, in the Colombian capital. Conceived by the founder of Tissue Online and CEO of the Nexum Group, Felipe Quintino, the event was attended by large companies and industry personalities.

The activities started on Monday 19th night with a welcome cocktail, sponsored by the partners Körber and INCAPE. The objective was to promote interaction between the participants, approaching possible partnerships and providing good business, networking and exchange of knowledge.

On Tuesday 20th, Quintino opened the program by presenting the current tissue scenario and bringing insights about the industry. The CEO was also moderator of the panel “The future of the tissue paper in Latin America”.

The debate was attended by Adriana Gonzalez, consumer goods executive, Thiago Karam, director of INCAPE, and Daniel Schroeder, sales coordinator at Körber Brasil. Another important moment was the lecture “Innovation and trends: personal hygiene and tissue paper categories”, presented by Adriana Gonzalez.

“The current scenario is positive with a perspective of future growth. The market is going through an interesting moment, despite the cost challenges faced in recent years and the upward stability, with good sales prospects”, said the CEO of Nexum Group.

The event also featured presentations by experts from several companies about their innovations for the tissue industry. Among them, Körber, Roll-Tec, INCAPE, Color Química, Kemira, Firefly, Solenis and Valgroup stand out. Other sponsors, such as HERGEN, Lutepel, Omet, Bela Toalha, Mili, Servipap, Albany, Henkel, Jofel and Zuiko, took the opportunity to present their solutions.

The Tissue Summit Latinoamérica had a different format, with the presentations integrated into the table top area, which allowed the sponsors to expose their solutions and strengthen the relationship with the participants.

The first edition of the Latin American event had around 100 participants from more than 13 different countries. With good adhesion between tissue manufacturers and converters, the event established Colombia as an accessible meeting point among the Latin America countries, as it is located in a central region.

“For the first year of the event outside Brazil, we had a very positive result, with good feedback from participants and sponsors, consecrating the success of the Tissue Summit”, concluded Felipe Quintino.

The second edition of the Tissue Summit Latinoamérica is already confirmed for September 2023, in Bogotá, Colombia. Before that, the Brazilian version of the event takes place, in March, in the capital of São Paulo. Further details will be released shortly.
