Tork supports inclusive hospitality hubs for Philly250 celebrations in Philadelphia

Developed in partnership with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, the initiative introduces four hospitality centers with restroom and hydration services to enhance the experience of millions of visitors during the United States' 250th anniversary celebrations

Tork, Essity’s professional hygiene brand, a global leader in hygiene and health, is collaborating with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation to implement four hospitality hubs featuring community restrooms and hydration stations in support of the United States’ 250th anniversary celebrations (Philly250).

The partnership will operate the facilities from June 10 through July 19, 2026, at LOVE Park, Eakins Oval, Lemon Hill and Logan Square along Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Designed to provide convenient access to restroom and drinking water services, the hospitality hubs aim to create a more comfortable, accessible and inclusive experience for residents and visitors attending the city’s major summer events.

As the official professional hygiene provider for the Philly250 hospitality hubs and hydration stations, Tork is supplying solutions designed for high-traffic environments. These include hand-drying systems, foam soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper and odor-control technologies intended to support hygiene and visitor comfort.

The initiative also seeks to address barriers associated with public restroom use. According to information shared by the company, a significant portion of the population experiences discomfort or anxiety when using public facilities, which may affect participation in public activities and large-scale events. Through this effort, the project aims to foster more welcoming and accessible environments for people of all abilities.

City officials and Essity representatives participated in an opening ceremony that included a ribbon-cutting event, guided tours and demonstrations of the hygiene technologies installed at the sites. The initiative is part of broader efforts across Philadelphia to strengthen visitor infrastructure and promote inclusive hygiene during a year of nationally and internationally significant events.
