First Quality Tissue announces expansion in Defiance, Ohio
New facility will feature state-of-the-art technology and expand production of ultra-premium tissue paper
First Quality Tissue has confirmed that it has chosen Defiance, Ohio, as the location to expand its ultra-premium tissue and towel manufacturing operations. The initiative is part of the plan announced by the company in August last year.
The expansion will include the installation of two state-of-the-art Thru-Air-Dried (TAD) paper machines, as well as associated converting units, within a new industrial campus. The first paper machine is expected to go into operation in the first half of 2028.
With this strategic move, First Quality is reinforcing its commitment to meeting the growing market demand for ultra-premium tissue products. The initiative aims to strengthen the company’s position in the sector, guaranteeing support for the sustainable growth of its customers.
