Kimberly-Clark appoints Patricia Corsi as chief growth officer amidst executive transition
Corsi's arrival marks a strategic shift in leadership at Kimberly-Clark, with outgoing executive Alison Lewis extolling confidence in future growth trajectory
Kimberly-Clark Corporation has disclosed its latest executive appointment, revealing Patricia Corsi as the incoming chief growth officer, effective July 1, 2024. Corsi steps into this pivotal role following the retirement decision of Alison Lewis, who concludes a remarkable 35-year tenure in the consumer products sector, the last five years of which were dedicated to Kimberly-Clark. Lewis will continue to provide advisory support until September 1, 2024, ensuring a seamless transition period.
Bringing a wealth of experience from her previous role at Bayer Consumer Health, where she served as chief marketing, IT, and digital officer, Corsi oversaw a diverse array of brand and commercial teams while spearheading the company’s IT and digital divisions. Notable among her achievements at Bayer is her leadership in driving a margin-accretive innovation pipeline, with newly introduced products accounting for a significant portion of Bayer Consumer Health’s sales growth over a five-year span. Corsi’s contributions were internationally recognized in 2023 when she was honored as one of the Top Chief Marketing Officers by Cannes Lions and inducted into the World Advertising Federation (WFA) Marketer of the Year Hall of Fame, alongside receiving recognition as an Adweek (AW) Brand Genius.
Mike Hsu, chairman and CEO of Kimberly-Clark, expressed enthusiasm regarding Corsi’s appointment, stating: “We’re excited to welcome Patricia to Kimberly-Clark. She brings strong marketing and general management leadership as well as a track record of delivering results for leading brands across various industries and geographies. I’m looking forward to her leadership in accelerating our brand and commercial programs to drive our long-term growth aspirations for shareholder value creation”.
Reflecting on Lewis’s tenure, Hsu acknowledged her significant contributions, remarking: “Alison leaves a tremendous legacy at Kimberly-Clark. Her leadership over our global growth organization has resulted in stronger, consumer-centric brands and commercial capabilities that have positioned the company well for our next chapter of growth”.
Lewis herself shared sentiments of pride and optimism, stating: “It has been my honor to be a part of such a special team and culture at Kimberly-Clark. I’m proud of what we accomplished, and I know there are more great things ahead for the company. I’m delighted to see a dynamic leader like Patricia step in to be the next chief growth officer of Kimberly-Clark”.
In response, Corsi conveyed her eagerness to embark on this new chapter, remarking: “From the company’s purpose-driven brands to its strategic transformation powering the next chapter of growth, it’s an exciting time to join Kimberly-Clark”. She expressed her anticipation to collaborate with Hsu, the leadership team, and the global growth organization, emphasizing her commitment to making a positive impact on consumers worldwide through Kimberly-Clark’s portfolio of iconic brands.
