Essity will match employee donations to local Salvation Army sites during the holidays
Donations will provide meal assistance to local communities across U.S. and Canada
This year, millions of people in America and Canada continue to reel from the ongoing impacts of the pandemic. The Salvation Army’s iconic Bell Ringers and Red Kettles—longtime fixtures outside malls and stores across North America—are a staple holiday tradition. Its annual Red Kettle holiday campaign helps communities combat problems that have grown worse in the wake of COVID-19, including food insecurity and hunger with a variety of support, such as meal assistance.
Essity have partnered with the Salvation Army this season. Starting on Giving Tuesday (November 30), employees can donate to the Salvation Army through its Essity North America donation portals to help people within your local community get the food they need this holiday season, no matter where you work for Essity in the U.S. or Canada.
Essity North America pledges to match 100% (up to $15,000 for U.S. and $5,000 for Canada) of all employee’s donations to the Salvation Army between now and December 31. The company is working with the Salvation Army to ensure that each individual employee’s gift – and the Essity match – goes to their local Salvation Army site. This means contributions will help provide meal assistance to those who need it most in their own communities.
