Essity has been recognized as an industry leader in the international report “The State of Children’s Rights and Business 2021” by Global Child Forum for its commitment to deal with children’s issues. The report aims to evaluate the degree to which children’s rights have been addressed and integrated in a meaningful way by a corporation.
The company performed extra well in areas such as preventing child labor, working conditions, family friendly policies, board accountability, materiality assessment, supplier assessment and collaborations. The assessment was carried out by the Boston Consulting Group.
The Global Child Forum is a Swedish non-profit foundation that brings together thought leaders and influencers from business, civil society, academia and government in order to spur action for social change around children’s rights.
