Essity and Reckitt, leaders in the global hygiene and health sector, have announced the launch of a range of co-branded disinfection products for professional hygiene customers, combining the power of their Tork, Dettol and Sagrotan brands across four countries across Europe.
The products will offer added value to professional hygiene customers from two widely trusted and effective brands. The new range will be available from January 2023 across the UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria.
In addition to a range of antibacterial multipurpose spray cleaners, Essity and Reckitt are introducing an antimicrobial foam soap and hand sanitizer gel for use in Tork dispensers.
The solutions meet new hygiene habits following the Covid-19 pandemic, as people have returned to everyday public life with a heightened awareness of the spread of bacteria and viruses. A survey shows that 88% of people expect companies to implement higher standards of disinfection to keep facilities clean; however, up to 70% of companies need guidance on how best to meet these audience expectations.
Both companies have a strong commitment to sustainability and, therefore, the packaging of the product line is designed to minimize waste, with the gel and soap bottles being recyclable and collapsible.
“Combining Essity’s expertise in professional hygiene with Reckitt’s deep experience in disinfecting spaces will give our customers additional confidence in their hygiene efforts. Together we’re helping customers to demonstrate that they care about creating hygienically clean environments by using trusted and effective disinfecting products,” says Dom Lewis, President of Professional Hygiene at Essity.
“Our brands are built on trust, scientific efficacy, and our desire to educate people around the world to help break the chain of infection. This is an ideal partnership for Reckitt as it enables us to expand access to our products in new places and spaces with Essity’s expertise and market knowledge. Together we can raise the bar on hygiene standards in the pursuit of a cleaner healthier world,” concludes Vijayanand Sinha, Senior Vice President, New Growth Platforms at Reckitt.
